I always find it exciting to be able to partner with an artist who may be new to Christian radio but has already been involved in ministry for many years. That’s the case with Shannon Perry. She has ministered with many gifted artists including Calvin Hunt of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir in New York, Michael English, Gordon Mote, Larnelle Harris and many others. Shannon has been invited to be a featured soloist at “J&J” Music Conferences on several occasions. She has led Praise and Worship at numerous churches and Women’s conferences throughout the United States and for the national “Lifeway” conferences held annually at the “Lifeway” Convention Centers in New Mexico and North Carolina. Shannon is featured regularly as a keynote speaker at women’s conferences throughout the country and has been invited to host a Christian television talk show due for national release next year.

This past winter, Shannon teamed up with producer Paul Marino (River, Ginger Millermon, Lifeway Worship Music Group) to begin work on a new project. This CD marks a new direction for Shannon’s music that should help it find a new home on today’s Inspirational and Soft AC radio.

One of the many things great about the way the music industry is radically changing is that an artist doesn't have to complete a project before the first song can be released to radio. Now, new songs can be made available instantly as digital downloads on an artist's Web site, through iTunes and other retail outlets. The first three songs from Shannon's new project are finished and the first single is the energetic song of praise, "You Are Incredible."

Biography

Captivating in heart and spirit, singer, speaker and songwriter Shannon Perry shares her undeniable passion for reaching all with the message of Jesus Christ. After being saved at the age of six, Shannon began singing to many audiences near her hometown of Houston, Texas. Shannon eventually received a vocal scholarship to begin college and earned a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Education. As Shannon began her teaching experience, she also began singing and traveling on the weekends at churches throughout the country. As a result, she was invited to Nashville to record her first project. This event would forever define the plans God had to “prosper” Shannon’s life.

Shannon has been a featured artist throughout the United States and Europe. She has recorded for national radio, and has made numerous appearances on national television. She has performed with the Houston Symphony, and had the distinct privilege of performing in “Carnegie Hall” in New York City.

Shannon has ministered with many gifted artists including Calvin Hunt of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir in New York, Michael English, Gordon Mote, Larnelle Harris and many others. Shannon has been invited to be a featured soloist at “J&J” Music Conferences on several occasions. Shannon has released custom projects with Daywind and Benson Music companies. Shannon penned five of the ten songs included on her project “Safe Place” which sparked the interest of many in the music business. As a result, Shannon was given the desire of her heart, and was released to pursue music and ministry full time. Shannon’s latest adventure includes working with Lifeway staff writer Paul Marino on songs for release to Inspirational Radio.

Shannon resides in Houston, Texas with her husband David. Their son Sean attends the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado and is currently preparing to be a fighter pilot for our country. Shannon’s heart warming story of how she married and became the mother to a son who had no mom is a powerful testimony of God’s work in her life.

Shannon’s prayer for all who hear her music is that the hurting would be released, those searching would be restored, and that every heart would be renewed by a greater understanding of His love for them.
