"Love God, Serve Others"
Beloved
music and lyrics by: Amy Goins and Kim Gravel
Love God, serve others, share your story
We have a common goal that points us to the cross
Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength
We look beyond the walls to live out our faith
And be a servant to the least of these
And it all comes down to
Love God, serve others, share your story
Love God, serve others, share your story
We have call to go and be the salt and light
In our hearts we set apart that Jesus is our Lord
We are prepared to tell everyone who asks
And give a reason for the hope we have
And it all comes down to
Love God (with all that you’ve got)
Serve others (cause He gave His life)
Share your story (tell somebody, somebody, yeah)
Love God (with all that you’ve got)
Serve others (cause He gave His life)
Share your story (tell somebody, somebody, yeah)
It’s about giving not to get
It’s about loving someone else
It’s about sharing what you know with those who don’t know
Can’t you feel a stirring in your heart
Can’t you feel a change coming on
Everybody sing with me
All you gotta do is
CHORUS

To get the full impact of the group Beloved, you have to experience
the pop trio. Since launching their ministry in 2003, this
Atlanta-based group has developed a reputation of being “one of a
kind.” In fact, they have created a new genre - women’s ministry
music. They sing Real Music for Real Women. They write songs that are
life-applicable and relatable, connecting with an audience instantly
through relational humor and infectious encouragement.
You and your listeners can begin to experience the music and ministry
of Beloved, made up of Kim Gravel, Denise Clark and Amy Goins, through
the release of the group’s debut Inspirational / Soft AC single, “LOVE
GOD, SERVE OTHERS.”
Written by group members Kim Gravel and Amy Goins, “Love God, Serve
Others” was born out of a challenge made by their pastor and the
mission statement of their church. The ladies took up the challenge
that day in a much different way than their pastor’s message intended.
They put pen to paper and hammered out a song to do just that….to show
their love of God, serve others and share their story. “To be honest,
from the moment Kim and I heard our church’s mission statement, we
knew it was a no-brainer to write a song to go along with it. It was a
such a simple and straight forward message, but packed with such
potential for passion and action”, says Amy. Kim adds, “Sometimes we
can get overwhelmed with all the busyness of life and all the things
we are supposed to do. It is my hope and prayer that those who hear
this song are encouraged to live a victorious Christian life, to just
do what God puts before them. If we would focus on those simple
things, all else will fall in line.” Beloved is excited that “Love
God, Serve Others” is the first single off of their new CD release
WAKE THE WORLD because it’s a simple message that challenges and can
inspire believers to live out the great commission in a practical and
applicable way.
The production of “Love God, Serve Others,” also brought about an
unexpected blessing. The group’s long time friend Mac Powell of Third
Day had already committed to produce a track for Beloved’s third
release but the actual song had not been decided on yet. Some of the
new songs were played for him without mentioning that they were hoping
he would choose this track. After listening to the tracks, Mac chose
to produce “Love God, Serve Others”…and the rest is history. Beloved
is so thankful for Mac’s divine appointment to produce the song and
will always count it as a favorite.
The first time I heard “Love God, Serve Others” from Beloved I was
quickly taken in by the songs great groove and soulful lead vocal. The
song has a great sound that should work well across the full
Inspirational / Soft AC format.
Give “Love God, Serve Others” from Beloved a listen TODAY. We’re going
for national adds THIS FRIDAY!

Biography
To get the full impact of Beloved, you have to experience the pop
trio. Since bursting onto the scene in 2003, this Atlanta-based group
has developed a reputation of being “one of a kind.” In fact, they
have created a new genre - women’s ministry music. They sing Real
Music for Real Women. They write songs that are life-applicable and
relatable, connecting with an audience instantly through relational
humor and infectious encouragement. (They have as many requests for
their funny stories, i.e., “the panty-hose story”, “the wig story”,
“stingy”, as they do their songs!) Their annual retreat, which sold
out in its first two years, has women coming to Georgia from around
the U.S. It’s clear that the ministry of Beloved has struck a chord
with today’s Christian woman.
The diversity of Beloved’s members is one aspect that makes them
appealing to a wide audience. Award winning songwriter Kim Gravel
(blonde) traveled the world as Miss Georgia, and currently juggles
hosting duties for the popular Christian TV talk show Friends &
Neighbors with her role as a new mom. Denise Clark (brunette) has been
married for 25 years, has 2 grown children, 1 grandchild and is now
realizing the dreams that have been hibernating in her heart. Amy
Goins (redhead) is single (a/k/a unclaimed blessing) and spent time in
Nashville songwriting and working in the music industry at Forefront
Records.
Beloved’s first two releases Beloved and Lovely Day achieved notable
success with significant radio play and several award nominations. By
obtaining national distribution through Infinity Music Distribution,
Wake the World is staged to reach an even wider audience. The
project’s first single, “Love God, Serve Others, Share Your Story,”
produced by multi-award winning Mac Powell of Third Day, reminds
believers that when the focus is on those three simple steps, all else
will fall in line. The opening track “I Dare You” solidifies that ‘we
aren’t in Kansas anymore’ so to speak and the driving guitar riffs and
bratty pop BGVs are the perfect match for it’s ‘you can do it’ lyrics.
Proverbs 13:12 and the story of Rachel in Genesis 30 served as the
inspiration for the introspective “Hope Deferred.” With 9 of the 11
tracks written by Beloved, their passionate message is clearly on
display.
Mission Statement: The purpose of Beloved is to encourage and edify
the body of Christ, particularly women, and to present salvation
through Jesus Christ to those who do not know Him. Beloved facilitates
their calling through singing, songwriting, testimony, humor, but most
of all through genuine, relationship building.
